Your Story Matters Magazine is a read-only publication. Student work is submitted entirely through the EmpowerLit Schools platform, which is operated separately from this magazine and available to participating educators.

Teachers hold the account
Educators work inside the EmpowerLit Schools platform, a separate system from this magazine. There is no student-facing account and no public submission form.

Work is uploaded with consent
Teachers confirm classroom and family permissions before uploading writing or artwork, and provide only a first name, grade and school.

Editors review each piece
Our editors read every submission against the issue theme, edit lightly, and select the pieces that will run.

Selected work is published here
Accepted pieces appear in the next issue of the magazine, credited by first name, grade and school.
What we ask of schools
- · Confirm permission before uploading any student's work.
- · Share first name, grade and school only — never surnames or contact details.
- · Submit original student work created for the issue theme.
- · Let students know their piece may be read publicly.
